SEASON TWO / EPISODE FIVE: The blackjack players excelled on this day, with Ken Einiger and Adriana Jade steadily pulling away from the field. Freddie Deeb hangs tight into the last five hands, but it's Ken and Adriana at the end. Both qualified for the poker final, with Adriana winning and Ken finishing second.
Here's a little sidebar on this match. Both Ken and Adriana have reputations for getting big hands at critical times to win major tournaments. While this match was being played, Blair Rodman walked into the control booth, saw that Ken and Adriana were left, and said, "They should have called this 'The Battle of the World's Luckiest People.'"

WINNER: Adriana Jade
This makes TWO UBT Championships for this incredible woman.
. . . . . . . . . .
PLAYERS:
The players are Barry Shulman, Ken Einiger, Martin Pollak, Phil Hellmuth, Freddie Deeb, Adriana Jade, and David Matthews.
This is the second of the UBT Superstars series, which matches poker and blackjack stars in three blackjack tournaments to qualify for a Final Table of six players competing in no-limit hold 'em. The top two from each of the three blackjack tables advance. This qualifier has a powerful poker presence, with Phil Hellmuth, Freddie Deeb, Barry Shulman, and Martin Pollak in the field. On the blackjack side, there's Ken Einiger, Adriana Jade, and David Matthews. Ken is currently ranked #14 in ALL IN magazine's Player Rankings, while Adriana is ranked #2. Note that this was an invitational, so there was no Internet qualifier in the field.

ELIMINATION:
Hand 8: Lots of big bets and good hands put David Matthews in a bind. He has to win his hand, but busts and is first out.
Hand 16: There are six left on #16 and they're tightly bunched. With big bets out all around, more good hands are dealt to the players, except for the player with the biggest bet. Barry Shulman busts with $100,000 in the circle and is eliminated.
Hand 24: Stranded $50,000 behind the field, Phil Hellmuth goes all in and busts his 16 with an 8.
Hand 25: Hellmuth's exit on the previous hand shook things up and Martin Pollak bet big. He's eliminated when he stands stiff and the dealer makes 17.
Hand 27: With the leaders pulling away, Freddie Deeb goes all in. When he's not covered by the others (see "Strategy Notes") and gets a 19, he's got a clear shot at the lead. But the dealer draws to 20 and Fred is dead.
Last Hand
The last three hands are heads-up between Ken Einiger and Adriana Jade, and it's a classic series of taking turns going for the lead. On the final hand, Adriana is the one who has it, along with position. She follows Ken's bet and play classically to duplicate his result and take the win (see "Strategy Notes").
