Angie Moneytaker SEASON ONE / EPISODE SIX: It's a shootout. At hand 25, the three remaining players—Monica, Jennifer, and Angie—have nearly $1 million among them. And after the smoke clears, there's just under $1.4 million in chips on the table. The last hand is a jailbreak, with Angie emerging as the last woman standing.

WINNER: Angie Moneytaker

The beautiful and calculating blackjack genius did it again.
. . . . . . . . . .

PLAYERS:

The players are Monica Reeves, Erica Schoenberg, Jennifer Tilly, Angie Moneytaker, Annie Duke, Clonie Gowen, and Klara Lato.

It’s Ladies' Night, and these girls can play. Erica Schoenberg, Jennifer Tilly, and Klara Lato have all made open final tables in other UBT events, and Monica Reeves is a UBT champion. Angie Moneytaker has finished high in several non-UBT blackjack tournaments. Annie Duke and Clonie Gowen are two of the world’s top female poker players.

ELIMINATION:

Hand 7: With the field taking off fast, Clonie Gowen finds herself in last on the hand leading up to the first EH. Her $86,000 all-in bet gets snapped off by a dealer 21 and Clonie is first off the table.

Hand 8: Another victim of the previous hand, Annie Duke's lost double down on hand 7 leaves her with just $31,500 on the Elimination Hand. She's locked out by the others so only a natural will give her a chance (see Strategy Notes). She doesn't get it.

Hand 10: Once Annie is out, the new low "man" is Klara Lato. She makes big bets immediately, trying to catch up. She loses two straight and is eliminated.

Hand 16: By hand 16, Erica Schoenberg has fallen far behind the pack. She loses an $83,000 all-in bet and is eliminated.

Hand 25: There’s a whole lot of money on the table for the third EH, and Jennifer Tilly gets out $200,000 more with a max-bet double down. If she wins it, she advances to heads-up play. She ends up stiff and falls to the dealer’s 17.

Last Hand
This one goes right to the end. Angie bets first with $544,000 and Monica has $575,000. Angie's in a tough spot, but she's saved her secret bet and uses it. Angie bets the max and gets out another $100,000 by splitting tens. Winding up with a 16 and a 14, Monica wins if the dealer makes any hand and Angie wins if the dealer busts. The dealer hits her 16 with an 8 and Angie is the ladies champion.
